New chip support | MaxWiz burner fully compatible with TI MSPM0 series MCU stable mass production burning

2026-10-29
TI MSPM0 is a new generation 32-bit Arm Cortex M0+platform MCU launched by Texas Instruments. With the advantages of controllable cost, low power consumption, rich analog peripherals, and software cross model compatibility, it is widely replacing traditional 8-bit MCUs and is widely used in consumer appliances, industrial sensing, power management, smart homes, security, small electronic control and other scenarios. At the same time, some models support AEC-Q100 automotive grade, covering higher reliability requirements.
In order to meet the needs of our customers for R&D debugging, SMT chip placement on board burning, and large-scale factory burning, MaxWiz has completed a software version upgrade. The entire series of burners officially supports TI MSPM0 full family (MSPM0C/MSPM0L/MSPM0G/MSPM0H) chip burning, supports SWD debugging interface and BSL boot loading two mainstream burning channels, supports chip security configuration, encryption locking, and unique UID reading, providing a one-stop solution to the pain points of MSPM0 from sample development to mass burning on the production line.

1、 Brief Introduction to TI MSPM0 Series

The MSPM0 platform is divided into four sub series, software compatible and partially packaged pin compatible, making it convenient for customers to flexibly iterate and change materials:

·MSPM0C: Ultimate cost model, 24MHz, suitable for simple control, small appliances, remote control;

·MSPM0L: Featuring ultra-low power consumption and low standby current, it is suitable for battery power supply, sensors, and wireless detection;

·MSPM0G: High performance flagship, up to 80MHz, integrated operational amplifier, DAC, Math accelerator, AES encryption, industrial and high-end consumer flagship model;

·MSPM0H: 5V voltage resistant IO, compatible with traditional 5V industrial control peripherals, convenient for upgrading and replacing old solutions.

The chip comes with a BSL bootloader and supports UART/I2C BSL burning; Simultaneously supporting SWD debugging interface, it can configure debugging permissions, close debugging port, set BSL password, achieve firmware anti copy, and meet customer intellectual property protection needs.

In the past, many customers used the official UniFlash, which was only suitable for the research and development stage. It was cumbersome to operate and lacked stability in scenarios such as large-scale production lines, parallel workstations, MES scanning and tracing, and encrypted one click configuration; The adaptation of the MaxWiz this time is to fill the gap in the burning ability of the MSPM0 mass production end.

2、 MaxWiz burning core capability for MSPM0
✅ Dual interface compatibility, compatible with different production stages, supports both SWD interface and UART BSL boot burning simultaneously:

·R&D stage: SWD, integrated debugging and burning, fast read and write speed;

·SMT board burning (ISP): BSL, with only a small number of pins, no need to lead out debugging ports, PCB layout is more friendly, suitable for PCB splicing and online burning.

✅ Dual mode of online and offline, suitable for R&D and factory

·Online mode: computer-controlled, suitable for engineers to debug, frequently modify firmware, and conduct small-scale trial production;

·Offline mode: firmware is downloaded to the burner locally in advance, and the production line does not require a computer. It can be burned with just one click when powered on, reducing on-site computer management and virus risks. It is the first choice for mass production.

✅ Support security configuration and match MSPM0 native security mechanism

Can synchronize configuration during the burning process: BSL password, debug lock, Flash read-write protection, secure boot related configurations; Can be bound with firmware, one item one code, convenient for traceability and anti smuggling, compatible with MSPM0 AES and TRNG hardware security capabilities.

✅ Multi station parallel burning to improve the UPH of the production line

Multiple models such as one to four, one to eight, and one to ten can support MSPM0 parallel burning, with multiple chips synchronously programmed, verified, and encrypted, greatly improving production line efficiency and suitable for EMS foundries and large-scale consumer electronics production lines.

✅ Complete production traceability and automation integration

Upper computer software support: burning log saving, OK/NG result recording, scanning gun triggering burning, file verification; Provide DLL dynamic libraries and command-line interfaces, which can easily interface with MES, PLC, and automatic burning machines to achieve full process automation. The data can be traced and exported, meeting the quality control requirements of the factory.

✅ Supports multiple burning file formats and is compatible with commonly used MSPM0 firmware formats such as hex and bin.

3、 Applicable customers and scenarios
1. R&D engineer: sample debugging, firmware iteration, and verification of MSPM0 security configuration;

2. SMT factory/EMS OEM factory: After SMT, online ISP burning is carried out, without the need to burn bare chips in advance, reducing the risk of material errors;

3. Consumer electronics: mass production of small appliances, temperature control panels, smart door locks, and sensors;

4. Industrial control: small acquisition module, power board, valve control, transmitter;

5. Pre research customer for vehicle regulations: MSPM0Q100 model sample burning and safety strategy verification.

Advantage comparison: Compared to debuggers and official tools, MaxWiz is more inclined towards mass production stability, supporting long-term continuous production, automatic marking of defects, batch encryption configuration, without the need to manually set security options every time burning. After the engineering files are solidified, production line personnel can operate them with one click.

As TI's flagship high-performance universal MCU, MSPM0 has a fast market volume and stable and reliable mass production burning tool, which has become a key part of project implementation.  MaxWiz  continues to follow up on TI's new device adaptation, keeping up with the pace of chip manufacturers, and providing customers with integrated programming solutions from research and development to mass production.
